New Victoria’s Secret Vegan Body-Care Line
“Think Green. Live Pink” is the slogan of the new body-care line by Victoria’s Secret, Pink Body.
Just when we thought that we couldn’t love Victoria’s Secret any more than we already do—after all, it has been on our cruelty-free company list since way back in 1991—now it has gone and launched this new and completely vegan line of body-care products!
Pink Body is made up of natural, organic, 100 percent vegan ingredients. With nearly 16 different products, including body wash, lotion, sugar scrub, shave cream, lip balm, and fragrance, there is certainly something for everyone, and these products are as easy to find as going to your nearest mall. So if you are thinking of using a little of your tax refund for some pampering this year—go get this stuff!

Hi Candace! Victoria’s Secret has been on PETA’s list of companies that do not test on animals since 1991.

I picked up a few of these products. I love the hand lotion! It smells great and works well. I love how it doesn’t contain any parabens, parrafins, and of course is animal-friendly!
March 5th, 2009 at 11:07 pm

March 6th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
If VS doesn’t test on animals, isn’t it safe to assume there is no animal ingredients in their product? What is the difference in their Vegan line?
March 9th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
To answer your question, Candace, no, Victoria’s Secret does not test its products on animals (according to PETA’s cruelty-free guide). Thank you, Victoria’s Secret!

I am in LOVE with this line, I bought some of the products and can’t get enough. The only thing that would make this line better was if it offered shampoo and conditioner too.
March 18th, 2009 at 4:49 am
Ooooh! I think I’ll go to the mall on payday and grab some of that body wash. I’m almost out of my JASON brand.
March 18th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
I am so glad Pink is Vegan. I was surprised to see at my college alot of animal lovers and vegetarians. I am old school going back to school so it is “Hip” to see their youthful line PINK show their “V” love. Way to go!

RE: Naz.
It is never safe to assume that any company has 100% animal-free clothes unless they state that they do. Lots of clothing lines that make animal products also make animal-friendly ones, and vice-versa.
To be honest, Victoria Secret’s clothing probably uses silk, and possibly other animal products. The only way to be sure is to check the tag!

Unfortunately many companies that DONT test on animals still use animal ingredients in their products. That’s why you always have to check the ingredient list or look for the vegan label on each product.
But if you check out Peta’s list of “companies that dont test on animals” you’ll notice a “V” next to some company names, which means that the company is 100% vegan.
Also, there are companies like LUSH and Urban Decay, which although not all vegan have special vegan sections and labeling, which makes it ALOT easier to find a product that doesnt contain animal ingredients, not even from insects.
So far, “vegan” is the safest labeling if you want something truly cruelty free.
hope this helps!

I did not know this about Victoria’s Secret, but I have always loved their products. Their lip gloss is the only one that does not make my lips dry or peel. Another great reason to shop at Victoria’s secret.

Okay so they don’t test their cosmetics on animals. But what about their lingerie? Don’t they use real fur in their runway shows? I remember seeing animal rights activists at a runway show in NY, demonstrating against Victoria’s Secret
